"During my internal medicine training I had the opportunity to obtain experience in the various subspecialties
of treatment for genital warts (General Medicine, Dermatology, HIV Clinic). Yet, I was always perplexed by one question: "Why are we seeing patients over and over again for the treatment of the same individual wart?" We would often freeze or apply acid to them regardless of their size or location! I wondered what we were accomplishing by repeatedly freezing the same wart. In this way, I realized the destruction of genital warts is one thing while the prevention of relapses is another.
[Now, I get rid of them one by one for my own patients]. Experience is the main contributor in my high success rate for treating genital warts. This achievement did not come easily. It is a time consuming technique and requires detailed and skilled labor. As a patient with genital warts you must read, get educated, know the pathophysiology of your condition and always explore your option before wisley choosing your treatment . "
